ONLINE ACCESS

Your Campus-wide Login (CWL) allows you to access online collections from any location.

Borrowing Physical Collections

Books and videos are found on the second floor of the UBC Okanagan Library. Bring your UBC ID and your items to the Library Service Desk to sign them out. Return your books in the book drop at the main entrance.

Recall is a function to request a book within the UBC Library system that is currently on loan to someone else. The person with the recalled item will receive a notification, without any personal detail. Recall is an important mechanism for shared access in a library system and items must be returned within the specified timeline to avoid fines.

Delivery Services

Materials ordered through these services will be available for pickup on the bookshelves adjacent to the Library Service Desk and must be signed out to your library account. These services are free for UBC students, faculty, and staff.

Borrowing between UBC campuses

Document Delivery is a retrieval service for items within the UBC Library system. For those located on the Okanagan campus, this is how to request items from UBC Vancouver.

Borrowing from other institutions

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service to obtain materials from other libraries that are not available in the UBC Library collection.

If you have any questions, or need help with your request, please contact us at ill.ok@ubc.ca

Course Reserves

Physical Course Reserves are kept at the Library Service Desk and require a UBC ID to borrow. The loan periods are shortened to allow access for everyone in a course. Items must be returned to the Library Service Desk.
